Sweet Potato Breakfast Hash

This hash makes for a delicious paleo breakfast option. Omit the peppers if you cannot have night shades, or if you're on the candida cleanse!
Course Breakfast


  • 1 Japanese or regular sweet potato
  • Yellow onion, diced
  • Sugar free ground sausage (could also use ground chicken or beef) as much as desired depending on servings needed
  • butter or ghee
  • green peppers optional, omit for candida cleanse


  • Wash the sweet potato and grate with a cheesegrater. Set aside
  • Heat butter on a skillet and add onion. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  • Add in sausage and potato (also peppers if desired). Cook through.
  • Top with salt and pepper to taste and more butter if desired!
