Snacking on an allergy free diet can be tricky, but once you find the right brands and snacks you love, it becomes an easy part of your new healthy lifestyle. Here are some of our favorites!
Whole Food Items:
- Fruit (berries, apples, pears, cherries)
- Chomps beef sticks (online, Whole Foods)
- Organic nitrate free deli meat (salami, turkey, ham) with avocado, mustard
- Salami (sugar free, nitrate free from Whole Foods)
- Turkey roll ups with mustard
Seeds and Dips:
- Sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds (Go Raw snack size seed packs are great for on the go, on Amazon or GoRaw.com)
- Celery with guacamole or sunflower seed butterĀ
- Carrots and guacamole
- Make your own trail mix with chocolate or carob chips, dried fruit, coconut flakes, sunflower and pumpkin seeds
- Violife cheese: feta, Parmesan, and cream cheese flavors ONLY (always read the label to make sure they do not add corn, occasionally they will have certain batches that contain corn) with Flackers or on a meat board with fruit, seeds, other veggies for dipping
- Tahini dip with veggies
Chips and Crackers:
- Flackers with tahini (sesame seed spread)
- Pork rinds (Whole Foods)
- Simple Mills sprouted seed crackers (found at Whole Foods or on Thrive Market, contains cassava).
- Siete chips (Whole Foods, Costco) with salsa or guacamole
- Sweet potato chips or Terra chipsĀ
- Paleo Puffs (Thrive or Whole Foods)
- Plantain chips (Amazon, Whole Foods, Costco)
- Rhythm Beet chips (Thrive Market, Whole Foods, Amazon)
- Cauliflower tortilla chips (Thrive Market, Whole Foods) with salsa or guacamole
